Every siding installation job in Monroe has to answer the local ground and weather. Here is what we build for.

1
Closer to the mountains, wetter roofs

Monroe sits closer to the mountains than any town we work, and the rain gauge knows it. Shingles, flashing, and exterior paint age faster out here than they do closer to the Sound, so we flash tighter, vent right, and pick materials that can take the soaking.

2
When the Tualco Valley floods

The Skykomish and the Snoqualmie come together here to make the Snohomish, and in a wet December the Tualco Valley goes under and 203 closes. The water leaves, but low ground near the rivers stays soaked for weeks after, and that standing wet is what lets posts lean and footings settle. We look at how a lot drains before we dig anything on it.

3
Old Town rot, Fryelands wear

The early-1900s houses off Main Street hide rot behind original siding, the kind you only find by taking a board off and looking. Out in the Fryelands the homes are newer, but the builder-grade fences and decks all went in around the same time, so the whole neighborhood reaches replacement age together. Different halves of town, different jobs, and we carry tools for both.

Representative photos of the work we do.

Monroe issues its own permits through the City Building Department, including a fence permit for most fence work. We file it and handle the inspection.

We opened in 2024, so the honest review count is still zero, and it stays honest. While it climbs, here are four commitments you can verify yourself.

1
Look us up first

Whoever pulls the board at your inspection is on the crew that rebuilds the wall. We don't broker your project out to strangers.

2
Warranty on paper, before signing

The terms are written into the contract you hold in your hands. You read them first, then you decide.

3
Quote equals invoice

The figure we hand you is the figure you pay. A change order in writing is the only thing that can move it.

Before you ask

Why does siding fail here?

A wet season that runs from October into May, and flashing that was never right to begin with. Water slips in at a window corner or a trim seam, the sheathing behind stays damp, and it goes soft long before the siding itself looks bad from the street. So we fix whatever let the water in before we hang a single new board.

Vinyl or fiber cement?

We hang both. Insulated vinyl runs about $8 to $14 a square foot installed in the current market and never needs paint. Fiber cement, Hardie or LP, runs about $12 to $20 and takes paint well if you like changing colors. Those per-foot figures are the county market this year, not what your house will cost. The full math is in what it costs to re-side a house in Snohomish County; for your walls, the answer is a written quote after we've stood in front of them, and that quote costs you nothing.

Will you find hidden rot?

The inspection is built to catch it before you sign anything: soft sheathing shows up as a line in the written quote instead of a phone call halfway through the job. And if the wall behind is clean, you'll know that too.

Does Monroe really get more rain than the rest of the county?

Yes, noticeably. Monroe sits nearer the mountains and roofs and siding take a longer soaking every year, so we flash tighter and choose materials for the extra water.

My lot sits low, out toward the Tualco Valley. Does that change the work?

On low ground it can, yes. The rivers run high enough some winters to close 203, and lots near the valley hold water long after the road reopens. Ground that wet will move a shallow footing, so we check how your lot drains before we quote the job.

The same crew and the same written warranty in the towns next door.
