Every siding installation job in Lake Stevens has to answer the local ground and weather. Here is what we build for.

1
Moss on the shady side

The biggest, deepest lake in the county sits in the middle of town, and all that water keeps the shoreline air damp long after a rain quits. Roofs and decks facing away from the sun hold that damp, which is why the lake side of a house goes green while the driveway side stays clean. We wash the moss off without wrecking shingles, then flash and slope things so water leaves instead of soaking in.

2
Cottage bones, new-build shortcuts

This lake started as a resort, and a lot of waterfront houses began as 1920s summer cottages that got added onto every decade since. Behind the original cedar there's often framing that has been wet longer than anyone has owned the place. Over on Soper Hill and Cavelero, the newer builds come with builder-grade decks and fences that were priced to sell the house, and they usually need redoing well before the house feels old.

3
Boulders where the post goes

The rock in the ground here is genuinely famous. The Lake Stevens Monster, the biggest boulder the ice sheet left anywhere in Washington, sits right in town, and its smaller relatives are buried all over the place. When a fence line or a footing finds one, we dig to full depth anyway, shift the post or break out the rock, and set it in concrete rather than cheating the hole shallow.

Lake Stevens issues its own permits through City Planning and Community Development. If your project needs one, we pull it and meet the inspector.

You won't see star ratings here yet. We put our first roofs on in 2024, and renting fake praise is a bad way to start, so judge the four terms below; each one checks out before you ever call.

1
Same faces, start to finish

The people who price the job are the people who dry it out. Nobody else touches it.

2
A warranty you can read

It's a section of your contract, in plain print, handed over before you sign anything.

3
Priced once, on paper

The quote is the final number. Anything that would change it goes through you, in writing, before it happens.

Before you ask

Why does siding fail here?

A wet season that runs from October into May, and flashing that was never right to begin with. Water slips in at a window corner or a trim seam, the sheathing behind stays damp, and it goes soft long before the siding itself looks bad from the street. So we fix whatever let the water in before we hang a single new board.

Vinyl or fiber cement?

We hang both. Insulated vinyl runs about $8 to $14 a square foot installed in the current market and never needs paint. Fiber cement, Hardie or LP, runs about $12 to $20 and takes paint well if you like changing colors. Those per-foot figures are the county market this year, not what your house will cost. The full math is in what it costs to re-side a house in Snohomish County; for your walls, the answer is a written quote after we've stood in front of them, and that quote costs you nothing.

Will you find hidden rot?

The inspection is built to catch it before you sign anything: soft sheathing shows up as a line in the written quote instead of a phone call halfway through the job. And if the wall behind is clean, you'll know that too.

Why does the lake side of my roof grow moss so fast?

The shaded, lake-facing pitch never fully dries between rains, so moss gets a growing season that runs most of the year. We clean it off without tearing up the shingles, fix any flashing that's holding water, and on a reroof we build that pitch to drain properly.

Can you work on the old resort cottages without wrecking them?

Yes, carefully. The 1920s to 1950s cottages around the lake tend to hide rot behind their original cedar, so we open the wall at the soft spot, show you exactly what's in there, and write the quote before anything else comes apart.

The same crew and the same written warranty in the towns next door.
